Verandah is a family day-board app made by Outback Automation (Australia). The adult who sets it up (the “caregiver”) manages medications, appointments, photos and contacts from their own iPhone; their loved one sees a large, calm “today board” on an iPhone or iPad, with an optional Apple Watch on either side. This policy explains, plainly, what happens to the information you put into it.
We do not collect your personal data. Verandah has no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party services. Everything your family enters — medications, schedules, photos, voice recordings, confirmations — lives on your devices and in your own family’s iCloud, shared only with the family members you invite. We never see it, and we have no server that could.
Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details. Our billing promise: if the person you care for passes away, contact us and any active purchase is cancelled and refunded immediately — no forms, no hoops.
None. No analytics SDKs, no advertising, no tracking. The only external service involved is Apple’s iCloud, under your family’s own Apple accounts and Apple’s privacy terms.
Your data stays until you delete it. Deleting the app removes local data from that device; the caregiver can delete the family’s shared data outright, and any family member can leave the share at any time. You can also manage or remove the app’s iCloud data in Settings on your device.
Verandah is designed for adults coordinating the care of older adults and is not directed at children.
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to hand over, correct, or delete — your family holds it all. If you have any privacy question or concern, we’d genuinely like to hear it.
If the app’s data practices ever change, this page will be updated before the change ships, with a new effective date.
